Figuring out settings (8.10.11)

This week, we learned how to adjust the shutter speed and aperture on our cameras. once we figured out how to work these settings, we went around out campus to test out what we had learned.
I was really excited when I noticed crows walking around on campus. I tried really hard to get a good, clear image of them, but they wouldn't sit still for me! This was the clearest image I got, and while I don't think it's a great picture, I like the movement and the action in it. There WILL be a clear picture of a crow on this blog at some point, and that's a promise.
I really liked how this picture turned out. Again, it's not perfect, but I like the tone of the picture, as well as the composition, even if it's very basic.

It took me a couple of tries to get the right exposure for this one, but I love all the different shades of green and the light peeking through the leaves!

This was just me playing around with exposure. I think the trees are really dark but I love the way the sky looks!
